Photo Competition with grand prize!

Updated: May 14, 2019

You might recognise this as the photo we used on the cover of the Walking Festival's brochure. Well, we are looking for an excellent picture for the cover of NEXT YEAR'S catalogue, and use in our promotions throughout the year. If you are a keen photographer or an amateur who gets good snaps, we invite you to take part.

The competition is open to anyone who takes part in any of our walks this year. All you have to do is enjoy the walk and take some pictures as you go. Send them in to us, and we'll take it from there. Later in the year, we intend to hold a photo exhibition displaying some of your pictures. One photo will be chosen and used as the cover picture for the 2020 promotion.

However, please don't hang around! All entries need to be in by midnight on June 2nd (the last day of the festival). We will be choosing the winning picture on the morning of the 3rd. Of course, you are welcome to enter shots after that date, and they may well appear in the exhibition, but they will not be eligible for the cover slot.

Simply email any pictures you take to info@FarnhamWalkingFestival.org to be in with a chance. And that's all. You could well see your name 'up in lights' for 2020.

AND THE GRAND PRIZE FOR THE WINNER? Apart from the glory of representing Farnham to the world, you get free entry to ALL our walks next year. "Now", we hear you say, "I thought all the walks were free anyway?" Well, yes they are, but you will get a certificate certifying that your walks are free, to show to your grandchildren and to honour the fact that you were the winner of our grand prize.

So get your cameras or phones out over the fortnight and snap away. We look forward to seeing the results!

THE SMALL PRINT:

You must be the photographer and only send in your own pictures. Third party photos cannot be accepted. By uploading a photo you confirm that you have taken it.

By submitting photos, you confirm that Farnham Town Council and the Farnham Walking Festival have your permission to use them for their promotional purposes. You retain the copyright to photographs that you own and share with us.
