The Guildford Walkfest brochure is now out! The festival, which runs the whole of September, lists some 45 walks, ranging from half a mile to 15 miles. The concentration of walks is around the 2 to 5 mile area. They include walks by the Surrey Hills Society, the Town Guides, Guildford Walking for health and several rambler's groups.
One of the walks that caught our eye was a walk by an independent medicinal herbalist, looking at medicinal herbs, aromatics and sensory plants across the downs.
All in all, it's a lovely programme and there's bound to be something there for everyone. If you're aching for a walk this September, give the festival a try!
All the details are in their brochure - available from Guildford Borough Council offices or their Tourist Board, or check out the details on their website - https://www.guildfordwalkfest.co.uk/
Our first impressions? It's going to be a well-run and interesting event. I, personally, will be looking through the brochure, checking out interesting walks and attending quite a few. All I can say is "Well Done Guildford"! Here's to a great walking September.
